ABOUT SARAH
Sarah Bult is a designer, wig technician, digital and 2D artist, and makeup artist based out of Lehi, Utah. With a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts Studies with an emphasis in Design, she has crewed and designed hair and makeup for several theatrical performances. Additionally, she has created makeup and wardrobe looks for short and feature films, advertisements, commercials, music videos, independent films, and photography. Before her career in theatre, she studied fine arts and graphic design earning her a recruitment offer from Brigham Young University. While in school she shifted her discipline to theatrical makeup design to broaden her artistic knowledge. She is proficient with multiple visual art mediums including digital. She has an in-depth knowledge of color theory and design principles, which has allowed her to become a quick learner of new creative disciplines.
Sarah is skilled at special effects makeup, teeth fabrication, sculpting, costume crafts, multiple styles of makeup application, ventilation, hand laying hair, period wig styling, and has a working knowledge of makeup design. Sarah has a passion for storytelling and enjoys doing in-depth research on productions. She loves working with actors, directors, and production teams to help achieve a vision for a production. Sarah currently works as a makeup artist and wig technician at Hale Center Theatre as well as freelance makeup work in film. Additionally, she works as adjunct faculty at both Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University.
